FETP Master of Epidemiology Undip Has Been Recognized Nationally and Internationally

FETP (Field Epidemiology Training Program) Master of Epidemiology Diponegoro University (Undip) has received national and international recognition for the quality of its program. Based on the letter of recognition of FETP Diponegoro University by the Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. SR.01.01/C.V/1/5403/2023 regarding the follow-up of the FETP curriculum review organized by the Diponegoro University Postgraduate Study Program, where the basic competency standards have met the requirements set by TEPHINET and the education curriculum has been harmonized with five other universities, namely the University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, Airlangga University, Udayana University and Hassanudin University.

Therefore, the Field Epidemiology Master Program (FETP) at Diponegoro University is a member of FETP Indonesia and will organize FETP activities starting from the academic calendar of 2023 in accordance with the provisions of TEPHINET and the coordination of the FETP Indonesia secretariat. FETP is a skills-based education program to increase the capacity of the public health workforce in Indonesia which is under the coordination of the Directorate of Health Surveillance and Quarantine, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

Head of the Undip Master of Epidemiology Study Program, Dr. drh. Dwi Sutiningsih, M.Kes stated that this recognition was an extraordinary achievement for Undip’s Epidemiology Master FETP. “We are very proud and grateful because the education program that we provide has met national and international standards. This is proof that we as a leading educational institution in Indonesia are able to make a real contribution in improving the quality of human resources in the field of public health,” he said. Undip’s FETP Master of Epidemiology program is expected to continue to grow and provide great benefits to the community and can improve the ability of epidemiology master students in facing various increasingly complex and challenging public health challenges.
